Artist Statement
My work explores the human capacity for transformation, how we endure pain, reframe reality, and emerge renewed. Through emotionally charged portraits, I reflect inner journeys from despair to clarity. I begin with neon acrylics, layering fragmented oil brushstrokes and scraping them back to reveal spiritual gradients beneath, symbolizing growth through struggle.
As an emotionally sensitive person, I’ve faced both deep depression and moments of awakening. These experiences inform my art and deepen my commitment to portraying the unseen - cycles of pain, healing, and rebirth. I aim to create work that resonates with the soul, reminding viewers they’re not alone in their pain or hope.
In an age of disconnection and cynicism, I see my art as a return to beauty, meaning, and spiritual depth, a quiet resistance to nihilism and an invitation to remember what truly matters.
